From February 25 to 28, 2022, the 20th Guangzhou International Professional Lighting and Sound Exhibition was held grandly at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. As a professional supplier of DSP audio processing system solutions, Cretone Audio showcased its new products, including an evolutionary supercomputing hot-swappable processor, audio-video all-in-one machines, PCM processors, and AI intelligent voice processors, leading the industry's technological trends. Digital Audio-Visual Engineering Network had the honor of interviewing Mr. Zeng Jinyang, Marketing Director of Cretone Audio, to discuss the technological highlights of the new products and the pros and cons of domestic and international audio products.
During the interview, Mr. Zeng introduced the newly launched evolutionary supercomputing hot-swappable processor. Based on ARM Linux network server dual-core DSP and a large FPGA for audio routing, the processor features 8 customizable I/O card slots that allow users to freely select the required analog audio cards.
Open Software Architecture: High flexibility, supporting the audio extender ecosystem and open software editing functions. Online software updates provide users with room for exploration and development.
Scalability: Supports 512x512 Dante large-network transmission, 380x410 ultra-large matrix routing, dual-machine hot backup, dual power redundancy, and automatic switching between 220V and 24V power supplies.
Mr. Zeng highlighted that this programmable DSP processor, independently developed by Cretone Audio, represents a groundbreaking achievement in the industry, leading in both technology and performance.
Cretone Audio has long focused on digital audio processors as its primary product line. In recent years, leveraging product R&D as an opportunity, the company has broadened its product range. It has now introduced PCM processors, four-channel independent AEC processors, and educational all-in-one machines, which debuted at this exhibition.
This expanded product lineup has allowed Cretone Audio to venture into new markets beyond conference systems, including education, courts, and theme parks.
Discussing the current state of the audio industry at home and abroad, Mr. Zeng noted that the international audio industry started earlier and possesses unique technical expertise, leading to a certain gap between domestic and international capabilities. However, with relentless efforts by domestic manufacturers, this gap is rapidly narrowing.
